That flag on Teddy's 720 is just cool man!

Thanks for the pics. Now to wait for Ray Wood to release the DVD!

If you win the final, all the above plus open engine.

Main final , all 10 cars will be check after the final.
Thanks for your info.... but we had totally diffrent scrut proccess in the FEMCA last week end... the Scrutening was held after the heat and/or the finals... not before... and i heard some of the participant was DQ coz of the miss conduct by the official.... and the main problem was... one of our team was in the 1/4 finals in the 4th place... when the 1/4 finals... the official didn't scrut the top 4 cars... and the 3rd was using 9886 pipe which already banned by IFMAR... the official didn't notice and just only found out during the 1/2 finals .... this would make all the racer being cheated by the official, regulation and the driver who used that 9886 pipe....

Default FEMCA 2007 report

hi!! Dude!!

i participatited 2007 FEMCA in Jakarta.

this is my first oversea international race.

so i was very shaked!!

i arrived in jakarta at 5/18 night.

i took a sightseeing JITC circuit in 5/19 saturday.

and i had trouble engine Flame out problem in 5/20,5/21

My NT1 Korean Friends also had same problem.

i changed fuel tank, fuel tube, caburator.. But Flame out problem was not solved.

so i could not practice run in 2 days by flame out problem.

i got into a temper for that problem.

KEN FURUKAWA also had same problem.

so we had doubt about Mecamo 16% fuel.

the fuel smell, color is differnt what i used Mecamo 16% in korea

so we protested BAD fuel to JITC Local Hobby Shop.

But they did not accept our fuel problem.

they said that "we used this fuel well in Pre-Femca"

so. we had request to see the Mecamo 16% fuel they used.

when we see their Mecamo Fuel.. we could know the color, smell and fuel cap write is different.

my Mecamo Fuel cap writed "CAR" and color is yellow, and smell like diff joint grease.

But their Mecamo Fuel Cap writed "ON ROAD" and color is transparency and smell like alcohol.

so they changed my megamo fuel... and we solved flame out problem.

if we did not find the fuel problem.. the 2007 FEMCA 1/10 Class will be the worst flame out event. --;;

My TZ main engine suffered from Bad Fuel...

so TZ engine's conrod was broken in 5/22. crankcase also damaged.

so i changed TZ conrod and crank case.

and i had spur gear wear out problem.

maybe i changed about 7-8 2nd spur gear in practice days.

my G4S go well in practice days.

Ken was rather faster than me.

i used front diff, and Ken used Front Spool...

But Ken changed to front one-way system in last practice day.

But i persisted front diff system until the last FEMCA event day.

the raining was come in first Heat in 5/27(friday) dawn.

and the grip was very low traction.

so i had very suffering for car driving.

But i did not change my car setup waiting for high traction grip.

i finished 16 lap in Heat 1. (GROUP 4)

my g4s was fliped twice by my mistake in Heat 1

i finished 17 lap / 5:10.921 ranking 6th in heat 2.

i finished 17 lap / 5:01.139 ranking 2nd in heat 3.

i take a ranking 1st in 3 heat most of all the time.

But for my mistaking in last 1-2 run, i ranked 2nd in HEAT 3.

i worried about my car setup after first Heat day (5/27).

i could not feel good car activity like practice day.

so i changed my car setup to very soft suspension setup for last Heat.

i used front spring 1.6 mugen(purple), rear spring 1.7 mugen(sky blue).

and diff, toe setup, shock oil was some changed.

i run last Heat 4. car activity was very dull.

my car was very falter!!

But i could maintain good line. But Throttle was not bold.

i can maintain 1st position last 4 HEAT.

But.. suddenly.. my g4s flamed out...

for engine low idle setup.. my engine was flamed out --;;;

so i finished 6th rank 16 lap/ 5:04.

But i was the fastest in Group 1,2,3,4 in low traction condition.

my flame out lap time was 38 seconds.

if i did not flamed out.. i could finished 18 lap/5 minute

so i finished all Heat and Ranking was 16th.

i assigned B-Main EVEN Group position 6th.

i worried again about my car setup in B-Main.

last Heat setup (soft) or Practice Setup (Hard) ?

But i could not expect high traction in B-main.

So i choosed soft setup.

But it was my setup mistake.

my G4S was more dull than last Heat 4.

maybe the grip was gone to rather high grip.

my G4S suffered from over grip.

i had effort to pass the precede car in B-main about 2-3 runs.

But then.. precede car and my g4s crashed.

so my g4s go out to grass field.. and then my engine flamed out. --;;

so i had loss 2 laps.

and my g4s suddenly stopped about after 11 minute B-main final.

so i checked my G4S. But steering, Throttle was stopped... all stopped.

i checked my battery... battery was out!!!

certainly.. i full charged my receiver battery.

i tested my battery in later.. it can be charged only 300mA.

my receiver battery was sanyo 800mA eneloop battery. it is also new product, prepared for FEMCA.

But i charged the battery twice temperature cut charge

after temperature cut charge.. battery was out of order...

so i finished 8th position in B-main.

My Total ranking was 21th.

i suffered from my inappropriate setup, fuel problem, battery problem, spur gear problem.

i missed 2007 FEMCA... But i had a good experience.

and thanks asw7576, yung-yung for their favor..

my korean fellow appreciated me.. about B-main in first oversea internationl race.

But i missed very very this race.

and i feel lack of My RC career.. and my RC ability was also not high-level.

i suddenly thought wise saying "i was A big fish in a little pond"

But i will do best for high-level driver. ^^

thanks for every body reading my FEMCA 2007 report!!

Thanks for sharing your honest experience Gansei and sorry to hear about all the problems. This is what I've been saying to others who have never been to big races in another country or even another track in the same country ... its not an easy thing.

Yes, we see a lot of "big fishes in little ponds", we just have to put up with them and continue because the sport/hobby needs them too.

Anyway, your last sentence is very good .. A Winner Never Quits!

Gunsoo, Kim.
Hi Gansei, ..... glad that you are back in Korea, and now you are back in here again

I told you, 2 pm onwards the track is always high grip...... I'm sure you get cheated by the weather on that Sunday ( cloudy and cooler ).

Nevertheless, I'm proud with you !!! Top 20 is good !!! .... and I won my bet ....... poor Yung2, he had trouble from Heat 1.

Sorry I didn't meet you again on Sunday. I was in despair..... after I screwed up in 1/16 final ( I cannot start in the final because my newbee mechanic poured fuel to receiver, and my servos went dead ). So I rather stay at home, as my protest to fortune God.

I don't want to see JITC track nor hear FEMCA 2007.

June 10, I have nitro race national series again ... and I'm back with vengeance

certainly!! Ken is a best driver..

But too Many Best drivers exists in Japan.

so he could not have a good serve.
