Default M-Speed vs RTUs

Hey, since we're on the hot topic of quality engines, I thought I might as well do this here... I've heard no comments of M Speed in this forum so far...
The M Speed engine is what some might call a "rip off" but I must say this is some block which pumps out more ponies one can imagine...!
Anyone has both of these monsters for comparision, post away!

These are some cool pics of M Speed engines...

Mauler, tell me more........ any idea on dyno figures, prices, specs etc. Reason i ask is that RTU's are genuine figures.... not pie in the sky stuff. Do you have any links i can access?

Yes, you're right... in my country JP-Racing engine is more popular than M-Speed for 1/10 Nitro Touring Car Racing...

Yeah...to a certain extend I agree to the price tagged to this little mean engine is way above most of our budgets... To give you guys an idea, the M Speed RS12T cost around US$450! That's about twice of a JP!
I don't have the actual stats of the engines but the guys in our area have seen them perform and only the best and the filthy rich ones get them... M Speed's in HK too...I guess Manticore and the rest of the guys in HK would agree to the performance but the price is the greatest deterring factor!! Go to their website and click around... I'm sure you'll drool over them!!

I would get one on display too if I've the money!!
M Speed

Another interesting fact that I've found out quite sometime back is that the M Speeds are hand crafted...yes...every single piece of them! Unlike the JP's or others which are machined under CNC. Yet, it still keeps to the precision required. Perhaps that's one of the reasons the Japanese tagged it at such a high price...

As i thought........ a lot of money, smoke and mirrors. At least woth Motorman u get the real deal... I don't doubt the virtue's of the Mspeed it's just i don't like tipping huge dollars inot something that i'm not 100% certain on.
