Will Dana find another location for club races or is that it?

4. Crystal Park won't get any better (might even get worse with all the construction)

I would choose the on-road and do the following:
1. Turn the off-road into a parking lot for more spaces
2. Create a track that can be easily converted into a 1/8 scale, 1/10, 1/12 electric friendly layout. (Look at all the electric tracks and it's easy to understand the kind of track or layout and feel of the track they all want) The electric guys have given Rev a try a number of times, as they also want another place to race, but Rev is just too big, or the flow of the track is too slow for them. It's not just about cutting the straightaway shorter which is the only thing Dana has done to accomodate the electric guys.
3. If the track is changed to have the "parking lot track" feel, I'm sure he will attract the electric racers and parking lot racers (there are at least 100 of them who only do parking lot races, and don't go to Rev or CP because of the size and flow of the track).

Just my 2cents.
Agree!

Thanks for breaking the monotonous theme going on here. it is Airtronics thread right...we just jacked this thread. does anyone knows there is a Revelation thread?
Madjack you must be an off-roader... only an off roader will find humor on what is a disaster or catasthropic event in the on-road world.. it is very funny though

A trip by a large number of racers to the next City Council meeting might not be a bad idea...probably too late now, but still.

Why not keep the on-road track and make it even better, being that there is another off-road track in such close proximity?

sorry all for jacking the thread...that being said I will be attending the event this weekend. As for what I run, yes your correct, I run 1/8th off road, also 1/8th on-road, 1/10th TC on road, gas, electric...just no boats. I am Switzerland.

Just trying to provide a bit of humor in a tense situation...however this is very sad news

Default AIRTRONICS - REVELATION RACEWAY

Dana has been great through out the years, and I am sure that everyone wishes him the best.
I dont doubt for a second, that if he could have kept the on-road track open that he surely would have.
Thanks for all the great races, and all of your help Dana.

It saddens me to hear that the on-road track is closing.Although I began at SVM I loved taking the drive down to Revelation every once in a while and letting my car go crazy on that great track. I hope the city changes it's mind and lets Dana keep the track.Wishfull thinking on my part I guess.I know that my friends Arno Ralph Gary Garen and Dino will also not be happy because of the closure.Where do we go now?
