Mega zx12 help?
 

what would be needed to install a mega zx12 in a ntc3? i am really looking into getting one of these engines. can i use the stock engine components to put directly on the new engine? thanks.

Oh boy, I went through that when I bought my first Mega...I had to modify the flywheel big time...it was a pain. The NTC3 has a different collet than all of the other brands, and you can't use the stock associated collet because the crank on the Mega is a smaller diameter. What you have to do is use the collet that comes with the engine and then take a dremel to the inside of the flywheel to make it match the collet. Have fun....and good luck....

The header is differant from most engines. Not sure what one you will need.

Well, the exhaust ports outer diameter is smaller than most engines (the part that the seal goes onto), but you just have to use the other seal that comes with the engine (it has a little piece of paper that says it's for novarossi manifolds).

You can use a Nova Rossi header with a Mega/Picco gasket made for Nova Rossi type header MEGA part # 202141

If you would like I could sell you the flywheel that I modded for use of the Mega. I don't need it anymore, I run for Serpent now...
