no JP dont have their own heads....theres always a JPracing signature on a Nova head. You are right that the casing is black...

My friend ran the JP Mod RS-12 (this has the black casing). The heat sink is the Novarossi heat sink with Jp Logo, however the only visual difference is the casing is black. I take it this is a pure JP - but why does the Nova head come standard????

Anyway, without doubt the quickest legal 12 I've ever since. No mods, non turbo.

This thing blew JP/RS/RB and everything else off the track.
Looks like I've found my next engine
u meant the JP Mod RS12 is the quickest legal 12? non mod? non turbo? are u talking sense here, NR?

am i right to say that Nova based engines are generally more temperimental and sensitive to tuning say compared to OS? most of the guys at the tracks share the same opinion. for me, its true......it started with the old CX12, cant get the engine to work well and dump it one side. never heard any problems with OS 12LD, never fails me.

2 engines Im talking about here.

1. Standard Novarossi RS-12, only changed things is modified by JP internally, and a JP logo on its head

2. Standard Novarossi RS-12, only changed things is modified by JP internally, JP logo on its head (along with the Nova log), and its a BLACK engine, NOT CHROME like engine 1 or standard RS-12.

Engine 2 is a non-turbo engine, with NO additional modifications or changes have been made by the owner. This engine is defintely quicker then the RS-12 and JP modified RS-12.

Anyone have any idea what this engine is????

The motor in the picture is a JP Racing CX-15R.

And just to clarify a few things.

ALL JP RACING ENGINES ARE BLACK! They all have JP's Special "hard black coating". It is there to help disapate heat better.

All Jp racing engines use Novarossi heads. However, they do have JP Markings engraved into them.

Also, Jp racing .12's come with a Turbo head button, or a standard head button.

Hope this helps!
