Smile Collari .12

Hey, any of you heard any news on the new .12 engine from Collari rated at 1.39hp? I've been looking around the web and haven't found a thing. I think I will by another RB X-12 and a RS-12 for next season, and maybe a Collari if it's anygood. I don't like the fact that the Collari will probably be based on the Picco, but I think that most of the problems that plauged the original version have been fixed. Later

& thats a good feeling. I toasted some 1 horse Novas & such this spring with a modified COLt 12 from Ofna. It felt real good. But made me a target later, plus the Colt 12 just plain wore out after about 4 gallons. My feeling on the RB 5 port is that its close to a Richey, proly revs like a demon. 45k+? A friend got one, the RB 5 port replaced a MSalven 12.

Plus I heard you can send your RB back,& get it modded. So sick you'll get the flu.

a question on engine tuning...
wat would be the problem if after running around the track for 2-3 minutes round the track (engine shld be at operating temp). brake to enter a hairpin.....just as u apply the gas to exit the hairpin, the engine stalls on you. is that a problem with the low end?

I think your engine has overheated just after 2-3 mins. lose the top end needle and idling needle and start it all over to tune up the engine again.

the way I tune up my engine is richen up both needle and setout the idling first. when it get to the desire rev under idling, tune up the top end needle until the engine rev up just quickly. fine adjustment on needles needed to be done on track.

Just as a comprasion and to add some confusion

My friend ran the JP Mod RS-12 (this has the black casing). The heat sink is the Novarossi heat sink with Jp Logo, however the only visual difference is the casing is black. I take it this is a pure JP - but why does the Nova head come standard????

Anyway, without doubt the quickest legal 12 I've ever since. No mods, non turbo.

This thing blew JP/RS/RB and everything else off the track.
Looks like I've found my next engine

I understand that JP has very good on heat management on engines. the head doenst do anything difference. it is just the matter of color.

Nah Moon, what I meant was I though JP used there own heads. This head was identical to the same head as a JP RS-12. The box the engine came in said JP - RS/12. Yet the engine is black

i believe my initial settings were abit off. but it was corrected by an experienced driver.....i saw smoke coming out from the stinger when i do the 5 second punch test which motorman recommended in an earlier post. hence i believe the low end is on the rich side. can a rich low end seize the engine when u punched the throttle? fuel extinguished the glow plug?
