i tried to give it a good bend but there is a TON of tension in there. i can bend it but it does nothing really. though, i put the car backtogether anyway. the middle brace that goes over the clutch really helped to settle it out a little bit. too bad there isnt one on the other side of the car. I could use the stiffener parts too if need be. we run on a sprayed parking lot so traction is pretty high.

ill slum it this year and maybe get a new car next year... not sure if the next one will be an xray.. thats expensive to buy and keep running, but serpent parts dont seem any cheaper.

Default 2013 Spec has arrived in Singapore

I was in my local hobby shop (HobbyLink Singapore) last night and they had received 4 of the new NT1 2013 spec kits.

They ordered 10 but only got 4 so this new kit will likely be in short supply for the next month or two.

The storeowner did not have the price ready at the time but said it will be in line with the previous models.

Rear end is bent up a bit. Seems straight left/right.
I learned this one from Martin, Strip the chassis bare. Look at where the center of the bow is. Press the center of the bow against the corner of a table. If it's the very front of the chassis forward of the front bulkheads you will need a vise. It's SUPER hard to get the chassis back flat. But if you have a I shaped chassis that will get you buy till you can get another chassis. The car always performs best with a straight chassis however.

Default diff gear

first of laa thanks to all that replied my inquiry regarding the diff gear issue a few posts back..

without changing any other setups except replacing the front diff oil with the 'putty' no 45., instead of thicker silicone oil......after a few runs to get myself comfortable with the car, i find that i have more corner speed and faster throttle when exiting corners. other than that feel not much different. and still the big problem i was having ( understeer ) is not resolve.

what i did next was reducing my front track width to 198 from 200. the rear maintain 200. and this got to solve my understeer issues...and the car felt more responsive in changing direction. ...

Default Tire wear

Hi there,

I would like to ask same help with tire wear on a new NT1 World edition that i just finished building and tested on the track. I used the standard set-up that comes with the car, matrix tires 35 in front and 37 on the rear of the car. At the end of 30 minutes the rear tires were almost on the plastic and the front tires were like new with 4mm wear.
I used the side pulley 25 as it is on the standard set-up.

Does any one as same suggestions for this problem?

Thanks,

I personally run a 2 shore split on a abrasive surface but i have also gone 32 35 and soften the clutch as well to reduce tire spin on a tight track

I started with a brand new set of tires with 65mm diameter and ended with 62mm in front and 55mm on rear.

You should never start with even tires front rear ....try 63-65 for a start...maybe your setup needs some changes...

For my NT1 ;

Front tires : 62.5 mm - 63 mm diameter, 35 shore
Rear tires : 65 mm diameter, 40 shore

For my MTX4, MTX3 ;

Front tires : 62 mm diameter, 35 shore
Rear tires : 65 mm diameter, 40 shore

My home track's conditions : high speed, fast corners and sweepers, medium to high grip, quite bumpy on long straight, not very smooth asphalt on some corners.

Tamak:

Lately the talk has been that a LP Savox servo can't with stand the real life conditions and loads placed on it as a steering servo. I am unsure about it all, but I am playing it safe with just running a low profile servo for throttle allowing me to lower it.
