Default 2011 vs 2012 top plate

Hi guysi was wanting to know what people's experience has been between the 2 different top plates. Yes the 2012 one gives more flex but when should it be used?

With high grip or low grip?

It seems to me that the new upper deck gives more steering with less steering input. I ran the car a couple of weeks ago and it felt really good. I only had to turn the steering wheel a little to get the car to turn. I tried to compare both but didn't have both decks at the time with me. I don't think it will cause the car to traction roll easier. If you get a chance to test them back to back let us know the results of your findings.

Hi guyz,

had anyone experience a minor leak on the fuel lid. I tried to replace the existing O-ring with a new one, but the problem still persist.

TIA

I used to race the nt1 with the 09 spec then switched to the capricorn.
Since recently coming back to the nt1 2011 i noticed straight away it had more steering than what i used to run.

at our recent nationals with high grip (no additives) i was suffering understeer. i switched to the 2012 top plate and saw a difference with more initial turn in.

last sundays club day i ran the same top plate setup and the car felt to have too much steering for my liking. from my findings i think the 2012 plate is more suited to high grip.
if you look at the setups and photos from the recent euros they use the 2011 top plate in low grip and the modified one in high grip.

this weekend i will test with and without chassis inserts.

Too funny!! You must have insane lateral grip with that set-up.

I think you can use this brake disc, but it is a bit heavy and a bit big. There are better options these days, I have used CSO in my MTX4R.
