I ran the same spur and pinion gears all season without any problems until the weekend of our annual big race. All of a sudden I'm stripping the 2nd gear spur left and right. I went through a total of 3 spur gears in two days. I qualed in P2 and in the Mains I stripped out another one. I was so frustrated that I haven't touched the car since. Before I go through the car, do you guys have any idea what's causing this? Thanks in advance.

Hard to say, depends on the track. I have rear diffs built in 40k, 50k, 60k, 70k, and 80k. Fronts in 100k, 120k, 150 and 200. If the track is large and high grip I unload with 150/70 now. Tight and technical with no grip 100k/40. You really have to just try it and figure out what works unless someone at your track runs the car, even then it's really preference.

there isn't really a direct conversion, we tried to use the lb rating to compare the xray springs to the new serpent springs and the serpent springs were a fair bit stiffer with the same lb rating.

What battery do you guys run? I have an older hump pack but looking to go LiPo or LiFe. Which do you prefer and why? I also am trying to possibly do either or without a regulator...is this possible?
