I had the same problem, change the bearings in the clutch bell and the problem went away. ran 17/23 all season no problem.

Hard to say, depends on the track. I have rear diffs built in 40k, 50k, 60k, 70k, and 80k. Fronts in 100k, 120k, 150 and 200. If the track is large and high grip I unload with 150/70 now. Tight and technical with no grip 100k/40. You really have to just try it and figure out what works unless someone at your track runs the car, even then it's really preference.

there isn't really a direct conversion, we tried to use the lb rating to compare the xray springs to the new serpent springs and the serpent springs were a fair bit stiffer with the same lb rating.

What battery do you guys run? I have an older hump pack but looking to go LiPo or LiFe. Which do you prefer and why? I also am trying to possibly do either or without a regulator...is this possible?

I have 2 of these: IP-LE1450J2S.

No need for a regulator, just a flat battery tray.
