guys you are forgetting the one thing that cost me several gears in one race, that is the clutch bell housing. The bearings will eventually create room in the clutchbell. Then when you pull at the clutch bell the gap will increase. First i had a little play side ways in the clutchbell but when
I put bearing locktite in the clutch the play was gone and the gears were good, No more gear stripping. In 2 years that was the only problem i got with the NT1. Used the clutch bell also 2 years so it is inevitably i suppose.
But now even the old clutch bell is good.
Hope this helps you.

Isnt that too risky to put a locktite around the outer race of the bearing ?

if your clutch bell somehow wore out, replace it with a new one. Simply adding green lock will eliminate the play but it won't ensure that there is no axial runout. Meaning you could end up with poor contact with the clutch shoe. And if your wearing out clutch bells that tells me your running your clutch bearings way to long.

It only needs a drop, work precisely when applying it and you shouldn't experience any problems.

I advise to use this on all bearings which are secured into metal( except engine bearings off course) from the start, it enhances bearing life and takes out any play.

How hard is it to remove the worn bearings? Once you use the locktite.

Pass you soon...

Default WC

Just finished building the WC version of the NT1 and for those of you out there that have already built an xray kit you already now how awesome and easy everything goes together.

After building other brands of kits all I can say is I cannot wait to get this car on the track............ not to mention how easy and professional Rc America handles everything.

It's pretty easy, a small tap with an appropriate socket will do.
As you can read in the link this type is for assemblies which need disassembly.

Strength wise you can compare it with the blue locktite for fasteners.

Is there any side to side play in the 2 speed shaft?
I had gear stripping issues resolved by placing a 0.2mm shim between the 2 speed pin and the bulkhead bearing.
Also, what engine mount are you running?
Could be an worth considering the monoblock engine mount (338713) or the new brass mount.

Cheers

Since I got the mono block I have continually stripped gears, I still cannot understand why but what I also noticed the front of the block will suddenly develop a crack. After going back to the original engine mount the gear stripping stopped.
