Default Alu Xray Pulleys

Whats the pros and cons ? Any real benefit besides the bling bling factor ?

Noticed at the WC some drivers (and Burch) used them only outside, others stick with the plastic ones...

i use the capricorn kevlar pulleys. great roll and the are strong , don`t wear as much and they don`t pick up dirt as much. They are also lighter.

try them you`ll like them.

Thanks djiewie.
I'll try the Capricorn kevlar pulleys, besides the "German taxi vomit yellow" color...LOL

By the way, Am I correct ? Mr. Hudy is selling those so far "useless" bling bling pulleys for almost 30 bucks per piece ? 110/120 a set...WOW !

It seems to me that mr Hudy is giving the wrong message by making the parts we want so expensive. Althoug the xray is by far the best 1/10 nitro car
mr hudy should not get arrogant. People can still change to Serpent or capricorn wich are nearly as good. Quality wise. Listen when you are a good driver, you will get the speed with any car. When i see the sponsored drivers , also with other brand cars and talk to them, they all have issues wich i don`t have with the xray, but these are never talked about on forums.

So 50 dollars for the new stabi wich is an improvement is not advertising the xray brand.

Just my opinion offcourse.
Still driving xray next year. I think

Hello from France,

I don't understand why you're are speaking like this about XRay !!!!

You can buy:

- XRay NT1 R : race proven NT1 platform without some expensive parts (around 380$)
- XRay NT1-2010: the original race car (around 520$)
- XRay NT1 limited edition: updated car with options (around 670$)

So, you can buy a budget car or a bling bling car. It depends if you want to spend a little or a big money in it!!!

Buy the R version and after that, you can improve it to make a WCE version...

Have you seen a budget Capricorn??

My bling bling car is under construction

Au revoir.

You are absolutely right Romuald, when it comes to chose a new chassis. Xray have it covered.
But when we are talking about the cost of the upgrade, think it's a diferent aproach...too much for each single upgrade !
Better to sell you brand new 2010 and buy a WC Edition...Just my 2 cents.

okok, I understand now (sorry english isn't my native language).

You're right on the price for XRay hopups....

But, which options are mandatory for the NT1?

For me, only the wheel hex and yellow clutch shoe!!!
After that, when you service your car, just buy hard clutch and gearbox spring.
And after some gallons, some light parts can be buy....

What I'm trying to say is, the NT1 is fast and reliable in stock version... No need any options!!! But, if you have money, buy what you want!!! Before the options, you were running each sunday's races in stock version and have scored many good results...

And sorry, another bling bling option on my WCE!!!

Au revoir...

Yes, the Capricorn pulleys are really good, no more cleaning pulleys after each raceday.
Maybe you want to get the aluminium 20T 2speed pulley as that one wore out really quick on my car and started stripping belts.
The 20T Capricorn pulley doesn't fit as it uses a different mounting system.
