Another thing; when your rear tires wear down, and you end up with very little ride height at rear(like 2-3mm), how does your car react compared to before?
At the end of the race my car has a little oversteer because of the relative hard rear end (purple springs and 2.4 ARB at 2mm).
But it's only in the slow corners when I accelerate so it's easy to manage.
I also like an oversteering car, my cars always have a lot more oversteer oriented setup compared to most drivers.
If someone else tries my setup they always go with a softer rear anti rollbar or add a lot more toe in, I run 1 degree toe in at the rear and 0.5 toe out at the front.
Reduces tire wear and helps straight line speed.

Default NT1 2010 spec or 09 spec EC

Is there a good reason to get one over the other?

Are the EC upgrades worth it or are there other upgrades that are of more use.

TIA

Robert

Hello!

I think that the best kit is still the 09 EC because it has a lot of options inside. The pieces are the most used by the racers (not only good to see).

The 2010 only has the front short whellbase and little differences on the radioplate..but nothing very important...and you have no special parts inside the box. ..You can get the new front brackets in anytime and spending a few money..

So I would buy a '09 EC.. but obviously this is only my opinion!

NikoRacing,

Thank you for your input.

After reviewing specs on the x-ray site I have come to the same conclusion.

Unfortunately the 09 EC is out of stock .. i looked for one only about a month ago and no one has them in stock. our local xray distributor said xray is also out of stock of these kits.

i purchased the 2010 spec and bought the lighweight drivetrain bits thats all you really need.

The EC was a limited edition version of the kit, was never intended to stay available for more than a certain time...

Yes, hopefully things turn out that way. That race is very high up on the list

Default lipos

What Lipo Rxs are most popular in the NT1? I've got Lipo chargers and don't want to have to get an LiFe setup. I figure to get an 2300 +/- battery and a regulator. tia, Nick A

I am using the exceed 1300 pack and it works fine, only thing I don't like about it is a lack of balance port.

The IP packs, I think 2200mah fits fine. The regular will not fit under there with the battery.
