Hey Ali,

I saw a brand new NT1 08 kit was selling for $390 shipped.
And a NT1 09 I just bought today for $537+ shipping.

I am thinking if i should return the 09 kit and get the 08 kit, do you think that the $140+ difference was all worth of the upgrades for the 2009 spec?

What's the most serious upgrade with the NT1 09 kit? and when run what is the noticeably good change from its 08 specs?

I believe the CVD's are standard in the 09 kit whereas you got dogbones in the 08 kit. I think there were a couple of other upgrade which the NT1 owners know more than I (I don't own one, just race with a bunch of NT1 owners).

If there were NT1 '08 selling at $250 shipped NIB. And a NT1 '09 selling at $537 + $30-$40 shipping. What will you pick?

If you are not going to upgrade, go with the NIB NT1 '08. However, if you are going to upgrade (and CVDs are an important upgrade), get the NT1 '09 because it has the upgraded parts that you don't have to track down and buy.

The CVDs where cheap dude, you could get it for $40 front and rear CVDs.
And also the wider rear belt, how much was it? Its cheap too, you could almost get all the upgrades from the '09 for only lessthan a hundred dollars.

So if I could buy the '08 at $250 + $100 for the upgrades = $350 I will pick this one. Does this makes sense to you?

if money is an issue then go the 08 I have just gone from 08 to 09 and really my track times are very similar, the 09 seems easier to drive not sure why but anyway I would get the 08 at $250 and spend your $$$ on buying a very fast engine with a top line pipe.
good luck

The CVD's are $40 each, not $40 for a pair. So total it's $120.

The aluminum shocks are another $40 plus, not needed but most end up buying them anyway.

The new belt tensioner and fuel tank, about $30.

That's about all you would need to upgrade from the 08. CVD's being most important.

Why would you buy a $40 each? Yeah I know Hudy is a good quality but, I can use 3racing which give the same performance at a cheaper price $15 a pair.

Even so, $250+40+30+40= $360.

So what do you think?

Do the CVDS make that big of a differences, I always thought the dog bones in the rear end made the car rotate faster?

Has anyone ever had there Nt1, spin out, when shifting from first to second down the straight away. And the rear end losing traction when you get on power coming out of a turn.

Go with the 3racing if you want. I already know how that's going to turn out. I sure hope you're a good driver and don't touch anything. Otherwise, you'll be very disappointed.

I don't think dog bones have anything to do with rear end rotating faster but i could be wrong.

spinout when you coming out of turn, did you lose a dogbone

It could be a bunch of things, what's your setup & tire shores?
