It should bring more racers into the nitro scene and I like that Xray always is looking for ways to make the products better and faster.. The Xray team has infused more life back into Winternats... Lets see how they perform in the race. I saw Barry running the Nt1 and looking at the car up close tells me they have atleast the same possibilities as all the other cars. It looks high quality and that alone is better than 50% of the other cars. They have the largest in house R&D of any RC company. So the car will be faster and better every time it is racing... Dont count them out becuase of bias.

I don't think it's a problem with the car. It could be a # of things. I personally haven't striped a gear or see gears stripping at an unusual rate around my track.

There's a new clutch bell out for the MTX4 try it out. Also check your two speed clearence make sure the gap between the 2 speed shoes and 2 speed bell housing is close but not touching.

One of their guys was very frustrated after he stripped one in each qualifier (3) at a race last year. It does seem to be an adjustment issue though, either having the shift too high or the shoes dragging or mesh too loose. It's not hard to do and ruins your day.

I went to a set of 3mm engine mounts, the ones that take 3mm screws. I had to shave down the heads so that they didn't protrude from the bottom of the chassis, and now, when I mount an engine, I don't have to worry about the engine moving around or being aligned propperly, it takes the movement out of the engine mounts and the gears are meshed perfectly. When using these, I havn't stipped any gears. If anybody wants to see this at the winternats, just see me.
