Default Brass

with the YBslow Inc front spool and 7075 midshaft my car weighed in ready to race with body and tire at 1595 grams. Did not put titanium pivot balls on yet.
65 gram YBslow brass battery tray 35 gram custom brass side weight and four 6 gram round weights for balance. Crap I am still 6 grams under. Need to figure out where to put it???

No it is definetely 1595.

custom litened brake pulley (saved 3 grams)
custom " " 2-sp shaft (saved 8 grams)
YBslow 7075 midshaft (saves 6 grams)
YBslow 7075 front spool (saves 12 grams)
lots of aluminum screws on upper deck (not sure)
YBslow 7075 aluminum rear diff outdrives (saves 4 grams)
lipo pack and regulator (saves 55 grams) and lets lower tank by 3mm
smaller throttle servo (saves 5 grams)

What servo's are you using?

I'm going to do some playing around with another carbon fiber chassis for the NT1. I did it for the MTX3 and MTX4. You had me beat on the weight though. When doing the MTX4, I got it down to 1611.....

I'm working on a little project this week, I'm going to lower the top deck of the NT1 3/4mm and cut a 2mm carbon fiber chassis for the car. (just for my club race car) I hope to make it down to around 1500grams...

Pm'd you on my idea bag of tricks to get it to 1500....let me know if you done any of this, and what you think.

1500 is probably attainable. I did not replace any of the bottom screws at all. If you went crazy and used aluminum screws on the bottom as well as aluminum pivot/pillow balls which I am still using steel on those areas you could do it. Aluminum 2 speed shaft will save another 6 to 8 grams as well, but they do bend on a good impact. I tried the carbon fiber chassis a few years ago on a serpent impulse and is a huge weight saving, but I live in Phoenix and was trying to run it when it was 115 outside, but with the right kind of motor mount it would probably work good in a short race but not for an hor main.......I'm guessing. What did your painted body weigh. My bodies usually come out between 100 and 105 grams ready to race?

Its all good, I think my 1752 gram legal weight car that lasted through a 3 hour enduro will work fine for me lol. j/k. I am adding up all the weight savings..

Ti screws(not the cheap ones) how much can you save?
anyone weighed the sirio evo 4 clutch bell?
anyone know of a hollow steel two speed shaft? or am i putting it in the lathe and boring it myself?
and good throttle servo and what not.

I don't want to save weight at the expense of durability. so no al outdrives etc.. maybe a front spool change..
