Hi Guys,

The Pro does not have the aluminum pulleys, because those were specific to the R's foam tires. The pro does not have foam tires, and also the R only have aluminum shock tower in the front because it is necessary to mount the low profile Lola/GTP bodies. The Pro does not come with the Lola/GTP style bodies, but for a limited time, the Pros that we have includes a dodge stratus body. Also, the pro uses regular gear diffs (while the R has a one-way and the rear solid axle as standard equipment) That's all I can think of as far as differences goes.

Thanks

Steve Wang

Have you guys seen the Set-up system (Hudy style) on the Yokomo Japan site? They look pretty good.

First race of the year on our newly resurfaced track. Third Qualifier front dogbone falls out, cant find it anywhere. Got every spare part except dogbone. End of racing.

The R only uses a front aluminum shock tower (lowered to clear the body).

The PRO and R are within $20 of each other.

The R uses a front one-way and a rear solid axle, the PRO has diffs front and rear.

The PRO includes the clamp type hex hubs, the R has the crummy plastic ones.

The PRO uses the aluminum rear bulkhead brace with the bearing, the R uses the stock plastic one.

The R includes the aluminum radio posts.

The R uses a 190mm rear end to clear the included 32mm rear foams (26mm front foams are included), the PRO doesn't include tires.

The PRO includes front and rear shock tower braces, the R only includes the rear shock tower brace.

I think that's about it. I might have missed a thing or two.

Oh yeah, the R includes the overdrive aluminum side pulleys to compensate for the smaller front tires.

Yeah, I got the e-mail. Sorry, I haven't replied yet! It sounds like a good idea, though. Let me know how it turns out.

By the way, I bought the Serpent 2 speed. I am waiting for a Serpent Centax to come in now.

COOL,
On the Centax, you won't regret it at all, once you get it dialed in!

Oh, I also ordered a set of the Serpent "Pro" lightweight outdrives. They are supposed to fit the Yokomo without any modifications, and they are light.

I am also really looking at that new Collari 5 port turbo engine, but the wife says no! Oh well, maybe next month. The only thing I don't care for is the carb, but I hear that you can put a Novarossi carb on the Collari with no mods.

when i order my new gt4 pro kit next week. shoul i get the couple things that come on the R spec kit, like the solid axle, aluminum gears . or is it nesessary? or just run the kit.the reason i am asking is you guys run this car and you know what helps and what is really just for looks. on the yokomo gt4 ,what kind of centax cluth kit will work, to replace the clutch kit that come s withe the gt4 pro.since there are some problems with the clutch kit that comes with the car, i have a mugen mt12 (SG) pilot shaft slide card engine. thanks alot.
so here are not any problems with the clutches that come in the pro or r spec kit any more. i was reading in the form about problems with pins or something like that and people were getting centax clutches . cause higer horse power engines where maaking the clutches not last. but since there is no problems any more . thats good
ps. which out of the centax clutches is the better one to get?
