Default HALIFAX ENGLAND

Hi,
Do we have any members of the Halifax club on this site ? If so, can you give me details as to how I can get in touch with someone about your club.
Thanks,
32819toon

Thanks Nick, I'll give them a ring.

Bigboss, thanks for the link, but I already know that site. If you take a good look around it, it's pretty dead with no links to contact anyone. Thanks anyway.

Regards,

Thanks mpp,

That page was updated 2 days ago and did not have that much info on it before. The phone number wasn't there before. The calendar for 2007 has been added, but access is now denied unless you have authorisation to look at it. At least before you could have a look to see when there would be some racing.

I've written to the membership secratary twice with SAE's and had no reply. There are no email addresses on the site so there is no one else to contact. As it's the only track with an hour of me, I would like to use it, but they don't exactly help anyone who is interested.

Looks like the site is being updated constantly. Its a brand new design they are using now. If you register on 3hobby.net and send a pm to engpk (paul knapton), he will be able to get you sorted. He's the 1:0th PRO for the club. Hope this helps.

I like your avatar. Thats the exact same colour scheme I used in the late 80's/early 90's when I raced 1:8th on-road.

I always thought it was a bit of an exclusive club myself - half the time if you want to look there is a locked gate blocking your way. I am talking about when the racing is on! (or at least it used to be like that)
Took photos down there once and it was hell, not allowed in the track despite having brca and efra licence (might get a stubbed toe) so had to take photos over the fence - which was being constantly rocked by some kid! haha.

Last year me and a friend went one Sunday that was not a race day with plans of joining, the gate was locked then though there were some people there, we got turned away.

Default Halifax England

Greetings from the USA,

This is an outstanding RC racing facility. We would love the opportunity to visit someday. It would be a perfect venue for an RC Pro International racing event.

Cheers,

It definately is a great place. It hosted the 2005 European Championships. Track is brilliant to drive.

As for secret society or hard to join. I think this is a problem with all UK nitro clubs. Its just so serious here that noone is really prepared to help much. Best way to approach regarding Halifax club is to contact Elite R/C shop and find out about club open days or practise dates. I have know some of the club officials for over 20yrs now and never had any problems with them and Im not even from the mainland

Greetings! Ans yes, we would love it if you folks cross over the pond and visit us. Halifax or another track won't matter ... it would be great fun! Maybe you can come as a group and join us for the monthly National races that we have all over the country. Usually between 80 - 100 racers participate so its a real blast.

Come over to 3hobby.net and check out some videos of our Nationals. There's also the Halifax ones to download, including the famous "Last 5 Minutes" at last year's European Championships held there.
