Default Motor suggestion for 1:10 On Road (Impact)

I'm planning to pick up an Impact soon and would like to know what engines are competetive and I could find fairly easily.

Thanks

Default Motor suggestion for 1:10 On Road (Impact)

Hey Rod;

This car going to be for Revelation?

I have a brand new Offna Picco 7 port.

(Just kidding, NOT 4-sale)

heyalignmentguy - Turbo or non. Don't know how much of a difference it's gonna make but I'll be running it in 4wd Outlaw 1:10th scale so whatever I can find easily I suppose. RBs are apparently hard to find parts for around here.

pops - Yeah, this is gonna be for Revelations. I've always wanted 1:8 scale but I can get a 1:10 for cheap and it's popularity is growing again.

jason - 1:10 scale on-road run big block .15s.

punisher - Uh, yeah...ok. Good one!

Default for Revelations

rod_b;

Dang, now I gotta hurry up and decide what I'm going to get. Only thing is that 1/10th Open class is not too popular anymore. You going to buy Bill P's Impact?

pops - Yeah, I was thinking about it. He offered it to me. Ian also told me that the Neo is a straight clone of the Impact and I know a guy who'd sell me one dirt cheap. I also saw one on eBay for $169 so that's not too bad. Bill told me that the class was picking up. He also said that he actually like it more than 1:8 because the power is awesome but not as uncontrolably chaotic as the bigger cars.

I run the mugen version of the impact, Since you are running it in the 4wd .15 open there are no rules that limits the motor that you can use. I run the Michael Salvaen 7 port Turbo. It runs somewhere around $325-$375. Over where you are running this motor should be all you will ever need with the right gearing. After you get the car set-up to your liking you many never turn back to the 200mm class. But if this motor is out of your price range, the Nova Mega .15 (can't remember part item) is a very good alternative. I know with a little work it should hand with any 7 ports (turbo/non-turbo on the market). But it needs some minor work done.

What's up Jason, ,I got off early and decided to chime in. On Tuesday Sending the motors away.

I have a Nova Rossi TX-15 Ron Paris modified turbo .15 engine and Serpent 1 peice Turbo tuned pipe for sale. I am asking $200.00 for both. The pipe costs $100+ and the engine cost me $375.00. The engine and pipe have 1 race weekend on them only. Please let me know if you want to buy them from me.

Thanks!
Tim

$325-$375, wow these bad boys are getting up to the range of some nice .21s. I went to Kustom RC's site and they have a Rody tuned RB for over $400. Hmmm?!!?!? Maybe this isn't gonna be any cheaper.

most .21 engines are less than that

my vo1b was like 250 and 0-1 was 220

i think since there is less demand for the .15 engines they cost more
