The RC Pro Homestead Miami Speedway International Fuel Challenge will be an action packed weekend of On-Road RC racing with concerts and IndyCar Racing under the lights.

It's an RC Pro race we will be using RC Pro insurance no ROAR membership needed. The RC Pro national/division points races require RC Pro membership but a weekend RC Pro membership will be available for $5. A full membership is $20 if you intend on running at the RC Pro finals in 2007. The full membership is available through our website. The weekend deal or a full membership can be done at the event.

As of right now the race will be on the same date... I had to clear it,, not only with Dave, but also with the forgass officers, and also the most important was the County! When I asked for a few days, it was important that I got them!! My phone don't stop ringing. I am sure that in the future we will try to work thing out and not try to be the first to market there event knowing there is an issue. Rest assured I am still trying to work this out.

Ok D.J. and Jeff V,

Here is the problem.

Pick up a calander when you read this.

March 3rd and 4th Kissimmee Race # 6
March 10th and 11th - Not 2 weeks in a row!
March 17th and 18th Open but St. Patricks Day weekend. (Also Electric
State Race)
March 24th and 25th Current date scheduled.
March 31st and April 1st - Jim Rice's Special race for the Civic
Center per there request.
April 7th and 8th - Reigon 4 Kissimmee
April 14th and 15th - Open but could be a problem with year end awards
(Time Frame)
April 21st and 23rd No way to close to Sour Grapes (also Electric
State Race)
April 28th and 29th - Sour Grapes Fort Myers Civic Center.

When our schedule was done it was to show respect to our fellow racing
organizations. Now here comes RC Pro with NO RESPECT for anyone. When
Gary was first called he asked for a couple of days to get things
organized with the FORGASS officers and the Port Charlotte Track. Now
this Jeff Vargus just goes and post all over the internet without the
any consideration of Garys request.

So you can see changing the schedule is not as easy as you think! And
also you want to make FORGASS look like the bad guys here if we can't
accomidate RC Pro?

I am not making anyone look like anyhting and I think if nothing esle
you know me better than that. Nevertheless I have nothing to do with
the rc pro event and I am just a racer looking from the outside hoping
to see positive things for out sport. I will not post anything else or
make any other comments, as it seems to be a problem. Good racing and
happy holidays to all!!!!!!!!!!!!! see ya at what ever the next event
is.

P.S. I never made you guys out to be bad people. Read my post carefully and that might help your understanding what I wrote.

Default RC Pro Homestead Miami International Fuel Challenge

Gary, David, Forgass Officers & RC racers:

I behalf of RC Pro, I meant no disrespect to anyone.

We were asked to help organize and promote an event with the people of Homestead International Speedway during their IRL racing event and that is what we intend to do to the best of our ability.

My intention is not to take away anything from, nor is it to bad mouth or makes anyone think they look like “bad guys”.

If you read my posts I believe I have never shown a lack of respect to you or anyone during this thread.

I hope you have a positive and enjoyable race at the new Port Charlotte RC facility, if something changes, you will always be welcome at any RC Pro events nationwide. Best of luck, no hard feelings

It is my opinion that both Forgass and RC Pro Series can get this worked out and come to a quick and agreeable solution if both parties want to. Finger pointing, big egoes and trying to blame is counter productive and gets us nowhere fast. Here are the facts and solutions as I see them.

First of all the IRL Race date will not change, it is going to be March 24 and 25, and as much as it pains us, they scheduled this race without consulting Forgass beforehand.

The Homestead Miami Motorsport Speedway has a tradition of having RC cars demos at this event for several years. This has proven to be extremely beneficial for the Speedway, giving spectators an added value and helping pass the time before the big cars begin to race. Because of the previous success, the Speedway Management wants to make it bigger, better and into a real full-blown race this year. A prime location has been allocated very close to the main entrance where the track will be set up for easy racer access, pit area, R/C car related booths, food and real toilets. A barricaded spectator are will be provided to allow spectators to view from 3 sides of the track.

The Port Charlotte racers have spent a great deal of time, sweat and probably a lot of money getting a fantastic new racetrack facility in a public park. I am sure this will be another fantastic venue for us to race on this year. Moving the date of their event would insure a good turnout for Port Charlotte and let all the racers enjoy this new facility that the Port Charlotte Racers have been working so hard and long for.

Both Forgass and RC Pro Series can benefit by participating and promoting the RC Pro Series event. There will be exposure to about 30,000 people who will be attending the IRL event. Think about it. We can race our Series all year long and we would be lucky to expose our hobby to a 1,000 people over a 7 or 8 month period. In one event we can promote our hobby/sport to 3,000% more people in a couple of days.

It is my opinion that the Forgass Series Race at the Port Charlotte facility could be moved forward one week and take place on March 17 th, 18 th. This would cause the least disruption in our Series and make this a win win situation for the Organizations, Clubs and Racers involved.

Happy holidays to all!!!!
