Cool Turbocharged Rotary = Mazda RX-7

Yes, RX-7 means rotary! no pistons.

Powered by OS 49PI that was meant for aircrafts with a custom made turbocharger.
Based on Mugen Seiki MTX-3.

Love the bumblebee engines. I had a FC3 myself. Did you guys see the rotary powered Kysoho Evolva from a Japanese mag called RC World (correct me if I'm wrong). There were two articles: 1. with a Rotary powered Evolva and 2. with a Rotary powered dragster.

I heard that if these rotaries stay on idle the gas burns quickly, compared to the conventional two stroke engines we now run on our nitro TC's.

TIMPO you are an awesome fabricator.
Putting it in an RX-7 is a great idea. I looked on the OS site for this engine and am curious.
What does this engine sound like? My son's RX-8 has the RB Exhaust and the sound is unique. With six firings per 1 crankshaft revolution it sounds like a 12 cyl.

Keep up the good work

Are you referring to the gear sizes
My guess is with a "practical operating range" of 2,500-18,000 RPM he needed the BIG pinions
