Halfway masters class
Dana Smeltzer then Tom Esposito. Sweeny lead for a while, but got the body tucked, then fouled a plug (I think). Lap time are 2 second faster than at the start. Track is getting better.

Smeltzer still leading with 10 min. to go but Sweeny is clicking off the fastest laps, and he is only one lap down.

Dana Smeltzer is leading masters, 8 minutes to go - Mark Sweeny 3/4 lap down - but is hauling A to catch up...

A Main Open, starts about 6:15, racers listed below:

This is actually Espo's first 1/8 race. We all(Auron Alexander, Myself and Tom) had planned on making the nat's and I could not make it, so I lent Tom my Mugen!

They are going right into driver introductions,
then they will start the 8 min warm up.

I'll try to keep up best I can.

Default The Rest Of the RC World !!!!

One More Thing !!!!!

I find it very interesting that most of the rest of world, which in particular is the European Scene, can put on and promote in a real time environment, a racing scene that is exciting, titilating, & promotes the nations that have a particular interest in what should be a scene that is scene globally and promoted to include individuals that are not only good athletes, but , are individuals that can show that the sport is a "SPORT" not a kids game !!!!

We all realize, I think, that the average age of the competitors is about 25 years of age because alot of machinists, mechanics, and engineers that have some money that are able to compete at the highest level determines, who can make it and who cannot not !!!!,,,

This explains the fact that when we all try to explain to people that we happen to know, that we are involved in a "SPORT" that we do as a hobby, it is nothing more than like what everyone else does in the world, however, that means something!!!!!
We are all engrossed in something that we can control in a big way if, (if) you have a drive, exposure, and a world scene that undrstands that world coverage of a "National Event" allows the rest of the world what it may take to take on the best of the world in months to come."

Basically it comes down to an orginization that will take the sport to another level, and until that happens, we unfortunatelhy be the laughing stock of the Rc Motorsports Scene !!!!!!!!

Sorry if this sounds very political, however, I think that it is very appropriate to post this response at this time !!!!!!!!!!

Jabroni, I think all of us that couldnt make it to the race are a little dissapointed in the coverage, but let it rest allready. One way or another we are getting updates, just let it rest, man.

Default DANA!!!!

It is so cool that DANA was actually winning the Main, and the Mark came back to make it close !!!!!!!

DANA on the west coast has in my opinion been one of the only individuals that actually made a difference in the 1/8th racing scene by promoting a track with his faminly in tow, and can still make a huge performance in a national event after all these years. Hall Of Fame for DANA !!!!

Sweeney he is the Man !!!!!!!

I hope the Masters Class will get the respect it deserves !!!!

Alot of time and dedication to help promote the "Sport" !
