Yes, that's a generally correct statement.

And they don't make all engines, obviously.

I would liken it more to something like Toyota and GM's agreements in the past (and present for that matter - Matrix/Vibe). They both make a product that shares many common components, but their finishing touches and trim levels are very different, resulting in unique products on both sides.

Default STS MT12

TheRagunCajun;

I have a Picco XP12 in MY Reflex, to replace my Picco 15RR. (*note:
The .15 definately had more bottom end torque)

My Stepson (29yrs) has an RB 12SE in HIS Reflex and it is about as Fast as my Picco.

My 8 yr old Son has an STS MT12 in His Reflex and we drove it last weekend for the first time and it is a DOG (NO Power). I'm hoping that increasing the compression will help. When I say DOG, I mean it's not any more powerfull than his .15FE was in His HPI. The motor is almost new too, maybe 10 tanks total.

Default sts mt12

popsracer;

This sounds kinda oddthat the sts mt12 isn't any more powerful than the stock FE15. I'm sure you know how to tune being in the hobby for so long. Mine blwos away the fe15 anyday. How did you break in ya sts mt12. I dont want to get into how to break in a engine but i just want to know roughly how you broke your in.
