Barry, congratulation for the race,

I would like to know why last year you used the setups(ntc3) close to the manual (yellow front laydown, red rear) and acctualy you are using the set up like the worlds, shocks stand up on front , maybe this set up is better ?

2- i would like to know why you do not use solid axle on rear ?

3- i would like to know why sometimes you use solid axle on front and sometimes oneway ?

4- could you post the winternats set up here on forum , or just tell us the springs shock location etc...

ps: by the way I am a distributor from Team Associated in Brazil
and i made a very good set up for rubber tires, if you want to know i send you .

Thank you very much,
Fabian Kaloustian

Barry, You know you'll be bombarded with questions the first week or so since you came to this forum. We're glad to have you though- it'll calm down.

I wanted to congratulate you on those couple of good runs you had in Orlando. That one ruin in 19turn was practically flawless.

I also wanted to let you know that you gained a lot of respect from my point of view, and I'm sure from many others when you checked up after touching Dumas. It looked like you really got hurt because 3 others cars got by you, but you ended up winning anyway. I guess that just goes to show what good sportsmanship will do. That probably ties in with the old saying "what comes around...". You certainly didn't live up to your reputation that week. Keep up the good PR work. I'll make a point to shoot the crap with ya next time I can afford to make a big race.

BTW- good job on the mic, too!

Barry............congrat on the Winter National. If you remembered the Hong Kong open international race, can you tell us what was wrong on your gear box....? The reason I asked is because I realized that the light weight 2-speed housing (spur gears) from AE just discontinued.............does that have to do with the gear stripping problem.........?

I personally didn't have one single gear stripped, and I use the OEM stock housing.........but I heard so many ppl have gear stripping problem, that is the solution?

Last, I realized some of the team driver modified the pressure line input on the dual chamber pipe (by adding a pressure nipple and relocated to the front top part of the pipe......)......Why is that? And what are the PROS nad CONS on that move...?

Thanks..........Rookie Solara

Barry is probably thinking "Why did I ever create a account on here"

AE should pay him overtime with all the questions he is getting.

Also do you run 48 pitch Spur and Pinions on your TC3? A friend was looking at your car and noticed it and asked me later if you were but I never really looked closly. I figured it was 64 pitch.

Did you guys make a running change on the new Gears for the TC3/NTC3 or is there a New Part number?

Thanks Barry

Mike Webb

Mike...maybe I can help here and give barry one less question...

all the gears are a running change....and right now, they are the only ones on asssociated's shelves..

thhe ball diff ring gear has the same #...(2329)..they will now be packaged 1 to a bag for 2.50$ each

teh pinions are still 2 to a pack and are 4 bucks...

the solid axle and OLD one way gear have the same #...3939...they are 6 bucks because they are hand drilled....

the NEW one way gear for the HD one way is also the same #1732...and they are 4 bucks....

Barry, Congrats on your latest win! I had the chance to meet you & the rest of the "A Team" at the Worlds in Cinnci last summer. You guys had no problem letting me hang out in the pits, you answered all my questions, signed autographs, and let me take a ton of photos that helped out alot of us on this board. That 200mm final was awesome to watch, nail biting to the very end. I am glad I have the chance to thank you personally for that here. I have to be honest, with only one NTC3 at the Winter Nats, I didn't hold out too much hope for a repeat, but as usual you pulled it off. I know alot of us where cheering you on, and where very excited with your win. Keep up the good work, Go Associated.

just specify you want the new material rookie solara
it is a yelowish clear color. So you will be able to tell
if you got the new gears.
