Yeah, but what was the problem they were having? Every so often the car would loose drive, they'd pick it up, bang it on the chassis plate, the drive would return and they set it back into the fray.

Probably the one-way bearing in the gearbox slipping. I have used the slap method before to get this problem sorted to get me through a race.

They did well to get the car into the Top 10 and then to finish third against such a tough field. It is nice to see but in reality their where several Top drivers who had real bad qualifying sessions that would have been a lot faster. It shows the potential of the R12 and with more testing and refinement it will be a serious constant contender in the future.

I really like the 2 belt option. A lot lighter and more free rolling but changing that long belt is a real pain in the A**.

Cartman....Thank you for the props about the debut of the R12. We were very impressed with our debut and feel things will only get better from here (engine prep). The engines that we were racing were from Paris Picco and we didn't have any break-in time on those engines. We were breaking in engines all through qualifying and this hurt our qualifying positions.

theRED5....I'm not sure what it is you are speaking of, but the only failure all weekend was a rear diff that backed off do to a set-screw that was never tighten after a diff rebuild. The bang (more like bump) you speak of was us stopping the engine with the flywheel. We then retightened the diff's set-screw and away we went.

Andy did a great job through out the event and also provided some great insight.

Expect great things to come from Schumacher in Nitro racing!!!

I was sitting next to the guys at the Winternats. They performed very well, did a lot of testing, and as far as i know their major problem was getting the engines well adjusted. This is/was an issue for every european driver as we drive with 16% nitro (with turbo plug) in Europe instead of 30% with a standard plug.....
In my opinion they performed good based on their reliability... Besides that Andy is a very skilled driver.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've always had a secret liking of schumacher cars

I built one of those older club trucks for my brother about 4 years ago(I think it was a club truck,or 10,or something like that)...

I went together nice..and the rear diff was great(BIG BELT)..shocks were great too...

I think I might add this car to my collection....

Nope. These type events should be banned or stopped. They thin the hobby out too much which is why most of the classes are dying.

I remember days when you had to pre-enter months in advance for a 1:8th on-road meeting in the UK and they where fully booked up every meeting (150 - 200 drivers). Now, they are lucky to get 50 at each meeting.

These stupid events should be abolished to preserve the classes which started the whole R/C racing commumity in the 70's as we know it today.

think wat you like its a good chance for t5hem to show how potential they can be i think its a brilliant idea it gives the guys who 21s to race show how good they are on the track & off the track.
some ppl dont see it like that so every body has thier own opinion
as you have but not everybody wants that, more events the better it is.
