Default help identify my car

Ok folk my first post, i bought a nitro rc car from a mate of mine,

I have been looking for info on it make/model as it needs a few psrts to get it running again, some info i have its a Kyosho of some sort, with a muffler that has thunder tiger stamped onto it

Looks like an old kyosho MK1, dont think youll have any luck finding parts. That thing was out in about 1995.

Definatly a MK1 Spyder. That is the car that started the tourer craze.

rigth the problem is, im after the large 44 toothed gear ring that connects to the nitro engine, any ideas where i may get one, or anyways around it,

The lad i bought it from bought it new from a shop just over 2 years ago, this is what i cant understand

Sure looks like a GP spider.

The part you are looking for is a SP-50

Might as well get some TM-17 while your at it.

I know I have a stack of those spur gears, I always needed the other parts in the SP-50

cheers for that, you meantion a TM-17. What is that exactly?and also any ideas where i can get the instruction manual from?

TM-17 is the rear & side belt. That and the SP-50 (pulleys) is what I used to wear out. If you run on the slightest bit dirty track, you will tear them up.

No idea where to find a manual for the GP Spider, but here is a link to an exploded view of the Spider MKII. Some parts are the same and others will interchange.

If you were close, I would send you a gear. But I think the shipping would cost more then the gear. I still have most of the part #'s, if your looking for something just ask.
