I dont know how long your "friends" have been living in Houston, but March, April, and May is when it REALLY rains there.

May would be better for the 1/8th Nats. The LV Grand Prix in April would make a great warm-up and it is way too hot in early Sept. It is about 15-20 degrees cooler in mid may than early sept.

all this talk about having the nats on the east coast, west coast , vegas, texas, has any body thought about having a race in the true center of the U.S. like Lincoln, Ne. I believe that the last race held in the center of the
country was in St. Louis in about 1991 or 1992 so isn't it about time that we got a race in this area again? they have an excellent track and have run many H.O.A. races there plus some regionals also. I believe that it is high time that we in ROAR give the center of the U.S.A. its due. I have been in ROAR since 1971 and have seen only the one 1/8 th gas nationals in the real middle of the country in all those years so i think that it is about time that this be corrected

One other thing... Before Roar can "give" a race to any track, the track has to submit a bid for the race No bid = no race.

He did alot more then submitting a bid. He repaved the track! The ROAR officials talked to him at some big races and say that it sounds good but after everything is said and done it all ends up as "Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah" because they give it to their local tracks.

Following your pattern, TX in 05 & CA in 06, shouldn't the sedan nats have gone to East this year?
