mtx-4 front diff
 

I currently have a mtx-3 prospec and I'm moving up to the mtx-4. My question is; it looks like I can take all of the internals of the rear diff of the mtx-3 and use them in the front diff of a mtx-4. I'm not sure if the mtx-4 comes with the front diff housing and pulley. Anyone have any comments on this idea?

The internals will work, but you will need the outdrives for the front diff. Yes the Mtx 4 comes with the diff housing and the pulley from the one-way works without the flange and it is important not to use the flange with the diff or you will never get it in the car.

It looks like the rear output drives for the mtx-3 are same for front of the mtx-4. So I should be okay.

They are the same. You can use the rear outdrives from you MTX3 rear diff to build an MTX4 front diff.

MTX-2, MTX-3, and the front MTX-4 diff outdrives are all the same. The MTX-4 rears are the oddball ones.

What about the MTX-1's?

Some one brought up the point that the kit only comes with one pulley. To use with the oneway or diff set-up.
So if you use the diff set-up you have to buy another pulley for the oneway.

the pulley for the front diff only comes as a set with the diff cases :(

I thought the front pulley comes with the pulley kit.
Or are you saying it only comes with the front diff housing?
