Yep, that was it. It was good enough, and close.

Here at Evolution Raceway in St. Louis, we are a little disapointed (but not suprised) that we will not get to see the Midwest Series roll through here this year. I understand that we are still an "unknown risk" to most of the series regulars ,so I hope that you will give us the opportunity to change that this year. We will be hosting the Region 8 Champs, the R/C Pro Series, and we will also be hosting the Mid America Nitro Challenge on Oct. 6th&7th.

The Mid America Nitro Challenge is already a Byron Fuels Contingency race.
We have also been awarded one of the 2007 ROAR Cup races and we are looking at making the Mid America race our ROAR Cup race. Last year for this race, Mugen awarded the highest placing non-sponsored driver in each class with a sponsorship, hopefully they will be able to do it again this year.

I know that many of us will see you at this season's Midwest Series races, but hopefully we will see many of you at the Mid America Nitro Challenge as well. This season we hope to build our experience and your interest so that we can eventually become a part of The Midwest Series.

Well itís time to start hyping some interest for this years MWS season. Itís fast approaching with the first race just about 4 weeks away. As the weather starts getting nicer Iím sure everyone is looking forward to getting outside and getting some fresh air laced with a little nitro. Unfortunately as I edit this article the somber news of the fire at the Cincinnati track is making it around the RC community. The Cinci club has done an outstanding job getting their facility to the level needed to host a Worldís event. Letís hope the personís who did this canít keep there mouths shut and are held liable for their actions. As the Midwest Series Director I am going to donate 10% of the race fees taken in at the Cinci MWS race on behalf of all the MWS drivers to help the Cinci club rebuild there burned down structure. Please show your support and attend the first MWS race this year at the Cinci track on May 5-6th. The more drivers that attend, the more money we can donate.
As last year I encourage everyone to pre-register at www.midwestseries.com web site. This helps me estimate awards needed and gives the host club ample time to populate their race software for the event. Who knows, pre-registration my PAY some benefits. All of this years sponsors are now signed up and the MWS is in good financial shape for this seasons awards and year end trophies.
Cincinnati has the record for attendance, which was set last year at 113, and Iím sure they look forward to bettering that.
So for anyone out there that is not familiar with the longest running On-Road Series in the WORLD be sure to check us out at the website listed above for all the information needed to attend any of these great races.

That is sad news for the Cincy track. There is a forum already started about this: http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...54#post3175054

Also they have a photo of the damage on their website www.tsrcar.com

Mark,
On behalf of TSRCAR, I thank you for your generosity. The fire was a huge shock to all of us this past Sunday. The club has begun to assess the damage and is considering options for the future scoring tower and tech area that was destroyed.

The destruction to the facility will in know way prevent everyone attending the first MWS race of 2007 from having a great time.

The extent of the damage can be seen at www.tsrcar.com

I'm pre- registered.

Maybe we could send in payments now to help out with some cash upfront so there is less out of pocket costs for the club/club members (or whoever will be funding the rebuilding).

Mark- any way to do that? Mail a money order or check, paypal, etc...?

A large tent will be on hand at the May Midwest Series Race in Hamilton, Ohio.
If you wish to pit under the tent, please pay $15 to TSRCAR at the track.
You will need to provide your own table, and space is first come first served.
