2006 Midwest Series
The 2006 Midwest Series is about to begin it’s 37th season in Cincinnati, which is also the host track for this years 1/8th Nationals. For those of you that have not checked out the MWS web site or forum lately or don’t know where it is please check it out at www.midwestseries.com.
For those R/C racers that are not familiar with the MWS it is the most fun and competition you can have in a weekend racing program. Hours of practice, 6 rounds of heats and ½ hour mains for ALL drivers.
This year should be a banner year for all Midwest Series participants. There have been a record number of sponsors (24, that’s right, Twenty Four) that have donated prize packages and monies for awards and trophies that will allow us to hand out some of the nicest year-end championship trophies that can be purchased. Along with these year-end awards there will be over 200 event awards handed out throughout the series. Prize packages to be handed out include tools, apparel, tires, R/C products, ENGINES, gift certificates and much more, including a “Team Sponsorship” that could be worth more then $1000.00. There will be at least one and most probably two sponsor appreciation parties that will include free food and drinks for all racers and their guests for an entire evening during the race weekend. More information on awards, prizes, parties and planned events will be talked about at our 1st drivers meeting in Cincinnati. So plan on attending as many MWS races as possible this year, because the more you attend the better your chances of cashing in on these great prizes and awards.
Please help the host clubs this year by pre-registering on the MWS web-site.
See you at the races!

Ok
Thanks for the heads up Mark. Sounds like its going to be great.
For me, its my first season of racing in the U.S and I've been looking foreward to the start of this Midwest Series with great anticipation.
Congrats to the organizers for gaining such support and sponsership commitment for the upcomming race and the series.
As soon as I get the info' back from ROAR (my membership no.) I'll be pre-registering. I understand there could be a real good turn out for the first race up in Cincinatti............. It will be nice to get back into racing again!!
