MTX-4 Build design question (brake binding)
I am in the process of building my new MTX-4 and I noticed something. The brakes seem to bind after the brake lever is pulled and the brake pads depress on the rotor. Its not due to the pads being to tight, as they are plenty far apart, actually too far.
As you know the rotor disk slides onto the three prong shaft to hold it in place. Well what I think is causing the binding is the disk doesn't slide easily horizontally along these prongs. When the brake pads depress on the rotor, its position is shifted slightly. Since the rotor wont slide easily along the prongs its stays shifted and binds against the pads still. Should I drill out the three holes a tad bit to enable it to slide or will this binding issue correct itself once the novarossi plus 3ct gets ahold of it?
