Practice
In 1/8 scale, anyone under a 12.5 is considered to be in the “fast group”. I believe the fastest time was a 12.0 turned by Michael Salven; each of the major teams is getting down into that range. In 1/10 235mm, the faster cars are getting down to the very low 13 second range. In 200mm Kenji Osaka is turning the fastest consistent laps – he’s down in the lower 14’s. There are others who are turning very low times, but Kenji is the most consistant.

YEAH OSAKA

I will stick my neck out and say that Josh Cyrul will be in the winners circle somewhere. After watcing him at the Worlds I would place money on him in anything he runs. Besides, you have to support your local guys. ( Speaking of local guys, I'll put Ralph Burch up there too, even though I am not a big Serpent fan, still an awesome driver). I would of course like to see the AE guys do well in 200mm. I am sure Serpent, Mugen, and Trinity will be in the top 10.

* 200mm is tough to call, but I'm going to go with Barry Baker. My second choice would be Ralph Burch Jr.

They are still kind of streesed out from the snowbird. This is really a tough call.

Kenji Osaka (MUgen) is the fastest right now in T.C.

Never know whos going to win!!

I'd put my money on Osaka. I watched him drive and win in 1/8th last year at the Winternats. He is a truly amazing driver and he has a lot of experience with long mains.

Qualifying is easy, running 45 minutes and not crashing / self destructing / falling apart is tough.

Osaka still leads 200mm.

Cyrul, my sleeper pick, is currently leading 1/8th. It would be an amazing two weeks for him if he can win 1/8th and/or 200mm.

Too bad the Serpent web page is so biased. It would be so much better to have a race report that tells the truth and gives some unbiased reporting. Lap times and qualifying results for all drivers would be nice too. Shame on you Pietr and Serpent.

Default For those who may interest....

This is the configuration of A-main after qualifiers.... only 9 because the driver 10 should be the winner of B-main.

1 Osaka (Jap) Mugen
2 Cyrul (USA) Trinity
3 Burch (USA) Serpent 705
4 Baker (USA) Associated
5 Barnes (USA) Serpent 705
6 Lang (USA) Mugen

8 Collins (USA) Mugen
9 Wallis (USA) Schumacher

Who was it that said the Serpent speaks with a forked tongue..........what a bunch of losers. The reporting for this event is so disgusting. Just talked with my boys at the race and this is just amazing. It was heard that one of guys that wrote for the snake reports was fired for writing about other team drivers during his race reports. Nice....huh! And then there was the "team driving" by none other than Mr. Burch.....two laps down and takes cheap shots at a non-team member to guarentee Mr.Salven's TQ.........Where is an archangel to take care of the snakes when you need one.........Maybe some attention should be paid to the efforts of the some of the other drivers...like those that don't have paid mechanics and paid expenses and what about the guys that are running two classes and their efforts.......How about some qualifying laps and times and then lets see how fast everyone really is......Team Serpent is a prime example of what is really bad about our "hobby".......
