well for a .18 sized engin i would go with the OS 18 cv-rx or the hpi 18ss engine, or an OS 12cv-rx would work good too, those are all under $190 usd

i have an os 18 cv-rx, good engine, also ahve an 18ss, havent ran it in a while, but it runs strong, revs high, even more powerful if you modifiy it

I got the O.S. .18 CVR-X on an HPI rs4 3 and it is a great engine.
I am still tunning it for more power since I am just getting through the break-in period.

Just get yourself a racing clutch. I am not sure which one works with your car but HPI has a racing clutch. I got an MIP clutch which seems to be the same as the HPI one.

Do a seach on towerhobbies for a racing compound clutch for your car.

I strongly recommend the o.s. .18 since it is very reliable and strong.

Probably the best bang for your buck at $110.00

the os 18 should fit in there, of course i do not know an extreme amount about the fw-05, i dont think you would need new engines moutns but i could be wrong, for a clutch, i would upgrade, dont get a centax though, those are for real racing purposes, no reason to waste $100 on one for bashing, you will have to make sure to get the correct shaft too

are you going to be bashing or racing the car? if racing, get that sts dr3, if not, just get like an os 18, if you get a racing engine you need a starter box for it to, thats another $100 usd right there

The O.S. is the .18 CVR-X and it is $110.00 U.S. I am not sure how much it would be in AUD.

It is very strong and reliable great engine for bashing around. Dead strong idle and it is very flexible in the tunning since you can run it really rich and it will still start up like nothing.

I bought one about 2wks ago and I am loving it.

get a bunch of accessories too, sprae glow plugs (at least 2 or 3 because break in eats up 1-2 and it comes with one) fuel filter, several feet of spare fuel line, just things like that
