Default MTX-4 Pro Spec. or R Version?

Does anyone know if this is ever going to happen? Possibly in the works for next year? Anyone care to start a rumor?

The fact is Mugen will launch a hopped-up version of their car. No idea how will be called (MTX-4 ProSpec, 4-R, 4 Fukuda version -hint, hint).

Maybe they launch a limited version of their car with some hop-ups and a serial number on their chassis, like did with their MRX-3 Osaka edition (another hint... ).

good call Corse, i didnt think of that , but as a lot of manufacturers have named their new car after their championship wining team drivers eg. hara edition, surikan edition etc.. etc..... it only makes sense that they might go that way.

IMO, you can build your own ProSpec. Just do all the required upgrades and you're probably 90% there - front/rear universals, one-piece engine mount, 4mm rear shock stay, aluminum wheel hexes. What else could you possibly do to the car to make it better, that Mugen would actually put out in a kit?

BTW.. This is my way of asking everyone what else they could do to improve the car.

Here are the ones that I am aware of:

3Racing: http://www.3racing.com.hk/x_descript...oducts_key=879

Kawahara: http://www.kawahara-racing.co.jp/k.498.html

And someone in the MTX-4 thread mentioned that you can use the Kyosho one-piece engine mount: http://www.shopatron.com/product/pro...YOVZW065/410.0

You can use the Kysosho one-piece engine mount. Skyline also has one. Keep in mind that if you use a Mugen 4mm option chassis you cannot use a one piece engine mount.

If/When Mugen puts out a prospec kit it will be with Mugen parts. Staying with Mugen parts, my guess is that a prospec kit will contain:

4mm option chassis
al wheel hexes
f/r universals
ti steering and camber turnbuckles
4mm option rear shock towers
ti pillow balls

Thanks Scott. I didn't see it at first, because it's listed under the RRR section.

From what I remember when running Kyoshos, was that WORLD SPACE CAD INDUSTRIAL CO. (AKA 3Racing) makes a lot of the Kyosho alum. options. Not all parts were Jap spec'd 7075 T6, but a down grade 6065 or something.

Hopefully Mugen will also add to the list, lightened drive train parts:
- hollow shafts
- milled/drilled out pulley adaptors
- lighter brake disk
- Ti screws would be nice too

I've been using alum screws (almost 1/2 the weight of Ti screws) for the diff cases and spur gear mounting/housing to help reduce rotating mass. So far they've been holding up great.
