It's been my experince the 1/8th has gone longer than the 1/10th but other racers may see different things happening. Understandably manufacturers are reluctant to present any data on exactly how long they think a conrod will last since how the engine is used can determine it's life.

Not blown up like explosion blown up but more like once the engine is killed either by a broken crankshaft, snapped conrod, cracked sleeve, or cracked crankcase it's effectively 'blown up' i.e. beyond use. Kind of like 'Your engine is nuked' not meaning your engine has been hit with a nuclear weapon.
