Angry PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOU BUY TAMIYA KIT

I just received a TG10 MK2. PRO Kit from Tower and I got shock after I opened the box. I've been in RC for 20 years and never have this experience before.

After I opend the box (the packaging was good, no damage and wrapped by plactic shrink film)......... ton of parts are missing: Engine, Tuned Pipe, Carbon radio plate, Front one way, Glow plug, Air filter, Pro. version Manual and some other Pro. parts.

I wonder Taimya factory guys stole those parts and replaced by 2 HEAVY AND UGLY LEAD METAL sheets (see the pictures) since the packaging was good. From the label, the kit was claimed "Made in Japan". I can't believe Japanese got this quality. Hope this is an isolated incidient.

I am contacting with Tower and US Tamiya right now. Waiting for the reply.

Holy Crap, that's terrible! Obviously someone was trying to cover up the theft of parts by adding weight with lead sheets.

Very terrible!

My first RC car is a Tamiya Frog and I did owned over 20 Tamiya Kits up to now. I've never got this problem before. Also this is a Limited Edition Kit... it's very unbelievable... very disappointed with this.

I hope those Limited Ed. 415s and other Limited Ed. cars won't have this problem.

Don't panic, just return it, doesn't Tower Hobbies has a policy saying if you are not satisfied with your purchase it can be returned with no question asked

Person purchased from tower took parts, added weight had the item shrinked wrapped as many companies have this type of equipment, tower would take the item back without knowing anything was wrong ie box looked as it should. I don't think the parts were lifted at Tamiya, they would just pocket the items and not worry about weight ect.

I am sure this a-hole does this nice little trick when ever they need parts.

I don't think tower is weighing the packages....from some of the stuff I've gotten,I don't even think they look at it before they send it out again...

The shrink wrap was not damaged and have Tamiya Kit label and Production Date Code..... that's why it was by Tamiya factory guys.

Tower replied me that they will investigate with US Tamiya first and will let me know what to do then.

Wow, that sucks to see what happened. BTW, I'm sure whoever did that took his time to weigh out the lead weights. Most kits are weighed from factory to within grams to ensure if anything is missing.

I find it hard to believe that this was done at the Tamiya factory. The shrink wrapping in the pictures doesn't look like normal Tamiya shrink wrap (its usually very thin and light).

Its not hard for Tower to re-shrink wrap something and add a Tamiya label onto the item. I've gotten stuff from Tower with an empty box before. I've had many Tamiya kits without these sort of problems.
