Im not impressed by the Sirios at all. All my friends got them, 1 3-port and 2 5 ports, and they dont have an advantage over my mod MT12 ( i mod it myself). Just today one of them blew a con-rod on a 2 months old motor, just when I was warming up to the idea of getting one. I will stick to RBs, Novas, and Mugens. For my next motor I will get either an S3 or MR12.

Thanks,

Yes, I believe I mentioned this earlier... The sleeve is not modded like the STS or the JP. But if you take a look at the BDC end of the sleeve, you'll see that it curves in. The normal S5 or RB 5 port sleeves go straight down.

has anyone tried the sts 5 port? How is the performance (compared to JP?) Tunability and the life span? Any comments would be very much appreciated.

Hi Gravedigger, I have a new shipment in & both STS RS3 Modified & RS5 are in stock. The RS3 comes with black heatsink & modified sleeve with inlet port being modified to draw cool air away from the exhaust outlet port. The RS5 is a 5 port turbo.

I ran the RS3 myself the past 3 weeks & the performance was more than splendid, especially on the mid & top-end. Comparable to most 5 ports. As for the durability, as long as you add a shimp / washer between the cone & bearing, it should last equivalently to the others available in the market.

I shall be posting full details on the Singapore "For Sale" thread before 12 midnight tonight.

Cheers!

NitroMugenLV,

Yes, the Rody 215 is a Roar Legal motor.
The S3 is likewise a roar legal motor provided
that it has a standard head button.

Hope this helps..

I must say that power between these two motors
are pretty identical, 5 port to 5 port. I can likewise
say the same for their tunability.

As far as life span and durability is concerned, the
STS is nothing close to the JPs. This is ofcourse, we
are assuming that both motors are exposed in identical
running environment.

For the money, the STS is definitely the motor to go
with. But if you have some more to spend, the JPs
are, in my opinion, worth their price difference.
