Default TC tire degree question

I see touring car foam tires advertised a 0 degree and 2 degree. Is this referring to the tread surface being coned or what?

It is only for the back tires only. They are talking about the Offset that the rim has. Some cars need differant offsets so the rim does not touch the top part of the rear hub. I don't think that Jaco sells a 2 deg offset rim anymore. They show them as a 0 offset but they are really 1 deg offset now. What car are you running?

Serpent 710. So if I understand correctly the wheel has a larger inside diameter on the inboard side.

I didn't know that the fronts have differant offsets. Thanks, I will have to pay closer attention when I get fronts.

I am not sure what offset the 710 needs. You can ask on the 710 thread.

You can put 2 deg offset tires on any car but if the car was not designed to take them your car will be to wide.

The problem is tire manufacturers have gone psycho on us! Referring to offset in degrees! What's up with that anyway? There is no angle or temperature in reference, so stop with the degrees already!

degrees is a measurement of the center (where you bolt the wheel on) to the outside of the rim,its the dish, and its done on real cars to
