If you go for the mega make sure you get the short stroke nova based MF and not the Picco based ZX DSII. The ZX motors have great torq and good power for the money but are not realy any more powerful than your OS.

I am not sure what the hot ticket pipes are for the Siro or long stroke novas but the cost efective Skyline works well with the MF and WASP motors.

For the WASP you'll want your 2nd gear around 5.3 or about 5.0-5.1 for the MF @ TZ.

I have seen the motor on line but I am not familiar with the x12. Isn't Mugen coming out with a Ninja .12? All of the 1/8 scale guys at my local track (Evolution Raceway, [url]http://www.evolutionraceway.com), are running the .21 version which is wicked fast. Does anyone have any info on the Ninja 12?

Thanks.

I still have one....good engine, but old engine, probably hard to find too many places still sell that, and it is discontinued from Mugen (replaced with the new NINJA series). If X12 is what is in your mine....you should think about the new models from Novarossi or RB , Mega, Sirio or even OS Speed version....those are definitely better if not faster then X12.....

What about the WASP CRF? No need to mod it as its faster than anything on the track as long as you tune it right and set the clutch right

On a large track the motor will work well with an 18/52, 23/46 & 18T brake pully. Its also important that he use either the yellow or black clutch spring. Should your track be around 150ft or shorter, you will not be able to gear it properly.
