actually kyosho doenst renew very quick. the RRR WCE was like released two years ago. and RR evo, somewhere around 2002.. RR around 2001, i think, and the original v1r was around 1999... correct me if im wrong... heheh... but it really takes kyosho a while to release a new kit. The RRR and RRR WCE arent that much different, really... So, it actually took 2 years for kyosho to release a new kit after the RRR WCE.

the mtx4 came out either late last year or early this year.
the mtx3 was out for atleast 4years, maybe 5 befor the mtx4 was brought out.
i think there was a similar time frame from the mtx2-mtx3 as well so the mtx4 should be out for a long time to come before a new car is made
sorry fritz but the only cars that are known to be ubdated more than the kyoshos are the serpent and the xray

Dont forget... Kyosho makes conversion kits to upgrade from one car to another (most of the time), I dont think any competitive sedan brand does this.

Default Run what most people run at your track

All cars are pretty good. Run the cars that most people run at your track, that way you can get more support and parts. If you need help, more people will help you.

There is a reason that certain cars are more popular at certain tracks.

So I guess if you run in the Midwest US, you'd better get yourself a Mugen. I've never had so much support with a car before. I ran Kyoshos for about 4-5 yrs. with hardly anyone else running them. And with the support I now get from friends who are team drivers, I think I'm getting better at figuring things out for myself with the knowledge I'm taught and through the experience of experimenting with new setups and racing tactics. So if people around me were running Kyoshos, I may still be running them too. But for now, I'm living in Mugen Country. Good suggestions, Straightaway!

BTW, if I had to choose between the two cars now, I would tell you to get the MTX-4. Through my experience, it's a little easier to fine tune than the V-One, plus it comes with hex screws. Phillip head screws should be band from all RC products.

It's always nice to run what your local fast guys run. If these guys are team drivers, the better. Then they are there to help you out, it's part of their sponsorship, and chances are they'll have more parts at the track then anyone and willing to loan any replacment parts out!

One thing is our area has been a Mugen country for 4 years, but it's about to change now.

Dom
