Default supernitro belt tensioner

hey can anyone tell me how much tention i should put on the center belt ?? how long are the drive belts expected to last ??? thank you for a great site.!!! any help would be great. p.s. i just bought this thing used with out the manual, so if you know any good places for info let me know.

generaly a medium tension is the best so that the drivetrain still rolls freely but i'snt so loose that the belt comes off easy.
belt life depends on the type of surface you use it on and how much loose small rocks and twigs the car picks up but you should get several months with luck
the manufacturers site should have the info or manual that you can download

i looked for it on hpi web site. but when i clicked on belt adjustment a page opens of a parts diagram with nothing to do with the belt. i checked all of the options and still cant find it. i also googled it and came up with nothing. maybe it just me ???

If you can't find the info you want on the HPI website.... You might want to try to pose your question over on the R40 thread... Lot's hot good HPI info can be found over there...

The super nitro shared the same drive train parts as the RS4-2/Racer2 series cars. Part A907 is the HPI part number. It is a must have for your car. GPM, Integy and other also sell this type of part for much less although the HPI one is the strongest and most durable. It not only tensions the belt, it keeps the shafts aligned properly.
