Thanks for the very detailed reply Motorman. More than helpful! Where could I get a copy of the 'inside coparisons' you posted on the HPI site?

Motorman,

Can u help me out here? I had a problem with my RB X12T. The engine would run fine for 3-4 minutes of hard running and it will stall out of a sudden when I try to gas the car after exiting from the hairpin (on most occasions). Seems to me a overheating problem and had tried to retune the engine several times but the problem still persists. I am using 25% GammaLube nitro for the engine without shimming. Could it be the problem? A problem with glowplugs? What do u recommend for surrounding air temp of 25 to 30 degree celsius?

its abt 4.5 turns on the top end and 3 turns on the low end.
what do u mean by a change in mixture?

Dennis,

I noticed you stated before you will start modifying OS TR12's. Have you started on any yet? If so how much are you selling one for (ROAR legal engine), and also how much to modify if I send you one which I bought?

Normal JP Mods:

Notice the black casing. Also look at the porting which has been done on the carb.

Look at the "slide" on the crankshaft and the polishing and porting on the crank.

Notice the sleeve porting.

Youse guys from down under are so deprived. Maybe the picture doesn't do it justice but the port and polish job on the carb and crank doesn't hold a candle to a Dennis' job. Not gonna even talk about the sleeve porting.
