Hey motorman,
the link beloew goes to a website that is still selling the Picco KSR. What is so special about the RB that has 9 ports since it's not a turbo. I know your mods do a lot to them but would a novarossi or picco ksr trubo with less ports be just as fast and more RELIABLE?

Motorman: any luck with the RB 5 port 12? Also, I'm getting my car ready for nitro season. It's still a tad too cold here in the D.C. metro area and Nitro season starts sometime at the end of March. How much lead time should I allow for an RTO order?

Thanks.

Dennis -

I have a used MT12 that will need a new piston and sleeve soon. I was thinking about sending it to you and having you do the work on it to get that Richey Performance out of it! I know you prefer new motors, but will you take old motors as well? What do you need or your requirements to work on this engine? Please let me know. Thanks!

Hey motorman well I sent you an e-mail a week ago or so and I am waiting on a response as to pricing. How much would that RB 9 port eagle cost me? The way you're talking it seems like you go through a lot of pistons and sleeves. When those do need to be replaced do I need to send the engine back to you to have modifications done all over again? Or does the piston and sleeve have nothing to do with your mods?

BTW my e-mail is [email protected]

Default O'Donnell head for Nova Rossi

Dennis and everybody else:

I received a O'Donnell cooling head for Nova Rossi .12 engines today that I bought on Ebay.

It's for my MT12.
I was surprised to find out that this is a one-piece head, w/o a compression chamber button.

The head looks sweet and fits perfectly on the motor.

Is there any reason why I should not use this head on my MT12?

I know that the two piece head is done to allow the button to expand closer to the rate of the liner and block, but I also thought that O'Donnel knows what he's doing.

ANy advise would be great.

DENNIS, I still haven't received the PM from you...

Default Re: O'Donnell head for Nova Rossi

Stefan: Main reason for separate button and head is flexibility.
This allows the engine modifiers to swap out buttons with varying
compression rations, squish band sizes, and squish band angles,
as well as turbo and standard plug buttons...also, offroad and
onroad require different cooling capacities (principally 1/8 4wd
with .21 engines)...so the manufacturers need this flexibility also
as it reduces the need for special heads for every application.
As for the O'Donnell MT-12 head with the button machined
in...it works fine. To my knowledge, there is no significant difference between one piece head/button and separate
button...I am sure if there was, there would be a lot of one
piece racing heads in 1/8 4wd onroad...and I have never seen
one....yet.
BTW, can this be the Stefan who used to live on Big Jim
Greenemeyer's motor forum?......

JD300zxtt, thanks for the info.

I am reading jim's forum, but living there would be stretching it a bit.
Why do you ask? Anything I said? :-)

a richey ksr? sounds toooooo good! hey dennis it was good meeting you in florida. hopefully chris and i will see you at the sedan nats. if you happen to get a hold of any ksr's, snag 'em. they are golden. i check the forums and ebay every so often to see if any are out there. from what i understand replacement parts wont be a problem, its the case that wont be avail. since they are no longer in production.
