How do long rod motors compare to short rod motors? Which do you guys prefer, and what would you recommend for me? I was thinking about getting the RS-12 but it is short rod. Will that be good for me?

SG shafts (long ones) allow a more stable clutch to be put on that can hold a 2 speed. so i don't really knwo what car you have, i'd stick with what the car maker recomends.

I have a Serpent Impulse w/ 2 speed. Would a short shaft motor work with that? or do I need a SG shaft? It came w/ a SX-12 SE, so I'm guessing that I don't need the SG. Am I correct? Because I really want to run a RS-12, but if it won't work then I have no problem running a SG MT-12. But the RS-12 is preferable if it will work.

DENNIS - Do you still mod the NitroStar Pro 12R (the first genearation HPI NovaRossi Side Exhaust .12)? Can you convert it to an EVO II as well?

I'm still awaiting a respone on pricing for .15 modifications for my serpent 4wd impact. What brand or model of engines would you recommend? So far the only model I've crossed out is the RB .15 turbo.

Motorman, I finally got the link to work, I almost got sick when I saw the pic. I'd probably throw-up if it happened to me. LOL Sorry about the bad luck.
I asked about the 30% fuel. I'll go with it. I picked up a JP MT12 for a good price. I still want to try your engines though. I'll talk with my LHS and see if he'll order a few for us to try. Do you sell to LHS's?? If so I can get any and all info to you from the shop if you need it.

What pipe would you rec. for a JP?? Is the in-line Yoke pipe any good?? If not what would you rec.? Thanks

what are the requirements for a used MT12 to send it to you for tuning?

I have two MT12's, one has just been rebuilt (sleeve, piston, rod and wristpin) and other one will be due after about one more Gallon.

Is the above mentioned rebuilt good enough or do you only work on new motors? What about the crankshaft?

How much do you charge for the mods on an existing engine?

Thank you
