outside temp is around 32 degrees celcius
carb setting
- high needle 2 1/4 turns opened from fully closed

a few more questions have you used any silicone to seal the engine or used any silicone spray around or to wash out the engine?

Yes the coil was broken ,the element is pushed in and no silicone in any way

I wonder if that engine was put in "That Damn yellow car"
would have gotten me second place But you do know you can drive that thing pretty darn good.

Can I pick your brain some more the next time I see you at the track

Heyalignmentguy: Good to see you on the RCTECH site....yes,
I still apologize to you for losing my temper on the driver's stand,
and no, I don't think putting my engine in your car would help at
this time. The 2nd most important thing in rc racing after driver's
skill is the setup of the car...the Kyosho V1-R that you were
racing was similar to Eric Vasutin's in that you were running
gear diffs if I remember correctly and Kawahara 40 fronts and
35 rears...the most important tuning factor I have found in the
V1-R is the front diff. The guys from Castle Hobbies (Eric V.,
Jimmy Duprez) are national caliber racers and both race the
Kyosho V1-R...until they stiffened up the front diff, the car was
very hard to drive at competitive speed. I would suggest that
you touch base with them at Castle Hobbies. If you cannot
get ahold of either, talk to Jaime Manzinilla who works there
M-F 10-5 and runs their setups.....hope to see you at Delta RC

Eric V. as I remember him telling me runs 100000 diff oil in the front diff, and Jimmy Deprez runs I believe diff lock in his front diff and like really light diff oil in his rear (I think 3000 or 5000)
