Important: check the low-end needle and spray bar alignment, some NS12 carbs were defective assembled (needle isn't correctly aligned on the spraybar and binds) and need further reassembly. Solved many carbs only making an disassemble/assemble.

I'm looking to sell my RTU. Not sure what gen it is but I'm pretty sure it's one of the last ones made. I'm asking 275 shipped because it hasn't been installed in a car yet. pics

Had that problem with my RODY 3 port, too.

Default Hey Kevin

Whats up Kevin. Are you at the track yet? I'll be there tonight. Can't wait to run my Richey NS12. Sick very sick.

Nah, gotta do some last minute painting, had a chance to practice last weekend, though... can't wait to see your motor dude. Sikk, Sikk, Sikk! Good luck! We may all need it!

Kevin:

It's easy to solve, remove idle speed screw, loosen the rubber boot and the barrel should go. Remove the low-end needle by unscrewing and assemble another time. Don't know why but problems disappear when you did this (now that is disassembled the carb, take a look to ensure that everything is ok).

As a routine, each engine I buy I'll disassemble completely and ensure that nothing weird is in places that can make a big ouch! when engine is started.

Thanks Corse-R. I did disassemble it. Someone also told me maybe to rub the needle a bit with scotchbrite, just to ensure no sticking. I ended up dropping a carb from an MT-12 into it instead. Seems fine now.

To replace the Rody carb? Is the MT-12 carb already modded? If not, I think the original Rody carb would be better...

Unhappy My RTO gave up the ghost!

After two years of on-and-off running, she finally breathed her last this past weekend. Forensics this evening revealed a broken crank.

Damn.
