The track in question will still be able to hold races, the hobbyshop and track are not going to close down because of what ROAR has handed down. Of the three local tracks in my area one is following ROAR and it's guide lines, the second one is just like a local bashing spot, the third track has more entries on any giving weekend than the other two combined, what I am saying is the people will be there with or without ROAR, and one of the largest races every year follows no guidelines but there own ( snowbirds ).

This post is by no means to bring down either party, items were not handled correctly and what ROAR passed down is the outcome for there actions.

why was this action taken 9 months later ? from what i remember there was
no discussion on this at the race and i was there as were roar reps.
to do this now at this late a date does not seem to be of benefit to anyone
as for them or us not being able to talk or vent on this subject that is just
plain wrong what is this some sort of civil court case where no one admits
they were wrong and need to keep this hush hush. last time i checked
we have the right to free speech. i may not like what others may say
but i will defend their right to say it

I have always supported ROAR and it is their duty to enforce the rules they have created but the punishment must fit the crime. I believe something should be done but shutting down 1 of our 2 real tracks, where we hold our state series, is going to ruin on-road racing in our state. What you have basically done is told the 100+ participants in our state series that you think trophies are more important than us. I don't know what percentage of the ROAR membership Florida has but if you shut down Kissimmee, it will be much less. It is ROAR's responsibility to promote the sport, not kill it. Please reconsider.

And don't even get me started on that "other" situation... that's a joke.

Kevin, Raf it might be time to pass the collection plate around.... I got a $20.

If they were not present then that is on the individuals for not getting what was to come to them. If they were there and the trophies were not there then that is a different story.

Very nice comments. ROAR seems to be very hypocritical when it comes to following their own instructions for not discussing the matter in a public forum.

I know the other side posted comments, but I guess the logic is to have a comeback and not follow ones own rules.

I think Dawn Sanchez and ROAR should be penalized for commenting on the subject as per their instructions regarding communication on the above mention situation.

Roar is a very professional organization. Without Roar, you wouldn't be racing like you are now. All these lies are being put forth by troublemakers who want to rock the boat. But truth be told, Roar did the right thing as they always have previously.

I know that I, as a ROAR member, want to hear both sides of the story. This site isn't owned by ROAR, and since this is the US, we do have the freedom of speech.

I know Raf, and Kevin, and this sounds like to me, that some miss communications are going on. But either way, does it really matter that someone in the D main gets a trophy? Please.
