Many things can cause a flameout.

Let's make a checklist of things you need to check and give us more information.
  • Check for leaks on your fuel tank, revise the O-ring that goes on the lid of your fuel tank, sometimes it breaks and leaks pressure.
  • Check with another fuel. Probably one of the principal causes of flameouts are a faulty fuel.

ill give them a go well what i did find is that the fuel tank lid when you open it it doesnt pop it bascilly just opens but the o rings not broken

so i might change o rings but i,m taking it in to my lhs on monday if i cant get it running i might buy some new fuel as well then and give that a go coz who knows how long theyve had the fuel for

Default Ofna force .12

RaTTuS;

I've owned one of these engines with the Red Head. I got less than 1 gallon of fuel through it before it would refuse to keep running. I disassembled and inspected, decided that maybe the front bearing was leaking, so I replaced it with a new one. NO difference. After many hours of troubleshooting this engine I finally gave up on it. Never had this problem with any "New" engine before and atribute the problem to very poor quality of workmanship by the manufacturer. Even when I was a "NewBee" I could get over 3 gallons of fuel through my HPI .15FE engines before they were toast. I have one now (.15FE) that is 1-1/2 years old and still running strong.

I recommend taking it to the hobby shop and seeing if they can do something for you.

I had an OFNA .15 engine in my Pirate 10 buggy and it held up well even through my.....ummmmm.....less than stellar rookie engine tuning. That was back in '98, I still have that engine in my Pirate 10 and it still runs solidly. Only problem with it is that the front bearing leaks! (it leaves a ring around the inside of the body after every run) But even with that, it has been very solid and was a great first engine.

So OFNA at least has one good engine.

The car is only 3 weeks old so it is still under waranty they test there engines to make sure its not the consumers fault from running the motor to lean but i know damn well it was running as rich as bill gates but anyways thanks for the help and ill reply back when its all sorted and they find what the problem is
