And just to confirm, what is the minimum legal weight limit?

Is it 1725 G

Thanks!

I have not used a LiPo but I am thinking of trying it out. One area where LiPo's are superior is that they have a nearly flat voltage curve. The longest mains I ever run are about 30 minutes but even then I notice the brakes going soft if I haven't re-peaked with Nimh packs. This should be unnoticeable with a LiPo since they have very consistent voltage for the duration of a charge.

LiPo is FAR superior in nearly every area. You can always add some weight back & still have a better power supply to the car.

Thats a good point but then why are you using brakes anyway? They only slow you down.

If you are not using your brakes, you aren't driving fast enough.

1725g is the roar legal weight limit.

Being fast in straight lines never won anything. Holding the speed in the corners is where you make up lots of time. Really low cg, lightened drivetrain and flowing in the corners will always be faster.

I ran the 1hr main and my 1200mah battery lasted with no problems. My brakes also didn't fade.
