Default IS this Possible?

This might be a dumb idea, and I'm probaly better off leaving the pullstart on but I have an idea and I was wonderinf if this will work.

I have an OS .12CV-RX, I wanted to remove the Pullstart, the starting shaft, and JB weld the hole on the backplate so I can run it with our a pullstart.

Will JB weld widthstand the pressure and temp? or is this a bad idea, I never used JB wed so I don't know.

the site says it can take temps up to 600F, but I don't know if the pressure is too great.

nevermind people, JB Weld costs more then the non pullstart backplate itsself, shoulda checked its price before posting this, I'll just get the non pullstart backplate.

Umm what notch do I have to cut off on the crankshaft for it to fit?

You're cutting off the nub that comes into contact with the oneway bearing in there. Just remember once you go non p/s you can't go back unless you purchase a new crankshaft. Cut the nub, make sure engine is clean of shavings and all debris, reinstall, use non p/s backplate. Use just a little threadlock on the screws...you don't JB weld the backplate.
