At the Roar nats going on right now the body of choice is the 3.1 stratus.
But it doesn't make it the best body everywhere. just at crystal park.

Darin Ishitani finished 2nd, Ron Atomic 8th and Rick Howart 9th at the Sedan nats with the 200mm Type-M.

Thanks Darin, Ron, and Rick. Cogratulations!!!

Hey Guys,

I emailed Darin about the different bodies and what he thought about his testing at Crystal Park for the sedan nats. Here is what he wrote me:

i was able to test the bodie the prior week... tested against the protoform bodies.. mazda and the status...

my result....

mazda 6. high speed push / moderate low speed steering...
status. more stable... but had to move the body 3mm forward to get the steering i wanted
parma. centered location. alot of high speed and low speed steering. rear end alittle to planted. i made my body adjustment by cutting the rear wing down 2mm more then legal.

over all the body did not disappoint me!!!

The type-m is a very good body many guys on the midwest series tried in toledo and liked it alot. It also did win the midwest series race. Give one a try there cheaper then protoform bodies and I can tell you that you will not be dissapointed

Bodies vary from different tracks configurations and conditions. The question you should ask yourself is: What body will I use for this particular track design with these track condtions based on my particular driving style ? Looks are very deceiving. Just because a body looks fast aerodynamically, it doesn't mean that the body will perform for any track design, condition, or driving style. The best reccomendation is to bring 3-4 different bodies to the track and find out what works for you. I usually bring 3 bodies ( mazda 6, stratus 3.1, and the parma M ). Goodluck.

It all depends if your racing in roar sanctioned events or local races that follow strict roar guidlines....if that is the case there are only a certain amount of bodies that are roar approved.. most of the bodies you have mentioned are illegal to use
